LEGO® Model of the Chamber of Receipts

Bricklink.com, the website that hosts one of the best online Lego® marketplaces, recently released a new version of its building software. One of the features I like the best is a built-in photorealistic rendering engine that is sure to add some pizazz to your Instagram feed. I decided to give it a try on my Lego® version of the Chamber of Receipts.

In Bricklink's Studio v2 you have access to an unlimited supply of (virtual) Lego® bricks in every color! The app knows how all of the different bricks can be attached to each other, which (in theory) makes building a model as easy as dragging and dropping with the mouse.

The last time I posted about the Chamber of Receipts was in 2012. To try out Studio's new photorealistic renderer I put together a Lego® version of this chamber so you can see how they compare.

This render is with the default settings - pretty impressive. They also do a good job with the metallic textures (on the shovel and coins).

(And yes, I did put this picture on my Instagram feed :)
